SALVIA / BFL-SILK
This blend brings along qualities such as soft, next to skin wear, strong and hardwearing. The silk content enhances lustre and lends small dosage of sophistication.
HEDGEROW / MERINO – SILK
A truly super soft blend with a silky handling, this DK yarn 75% Merino 25% Mulberry silk creates a fantastic effect when dyed.
NATURA / BFL – GOTLAND
A glorious base of Bluefaced Leicester and Gotland. Soft but with a rustic look, this yarn is non-superwash, and no nylon. Its original grey base, when over dyed, creates an interesting palette of cusp colours, which appear to change depending on the different lighting conditions. It is great for shawls, for beautiful cable knit sweaters, warm mittens, and many more options.
BETTER TOGETHER / MOHAIR – SILK
On its own, held double or combined with another non fuzzy yarn, this yarn gives a touch of luxury to more plain yarns.
CONSTANZE CORRIEDALE – MOHAIR
Constanze is a delightful blend with a natural lustre and sheen from the mix of Corriedale and Mohair fibre. It is both soft and durable which makes it perfect for cardigans, sweaters, comfy socks, snugly scarves, mittens and so much more.
Did you know that Corriedale sheep’s parents were crossbred from pure Merino and Lincoln sheep?. They are strong and adapt well to a variety of climates, from the heat of the Equator to Tierra del Fuego’s cold. They account for some 70% of the sheep world population.
SUKAT / CORRIEDALE SOCK TWIST
As the name suggests this yarn is great for socks but without the nylon, 100% natural wool.
ASTRID AND THE BEE / WENSLEYDALE
A rare breed, with a long staple length from 12 to 35 cm , this yarn in not only durable but also very warm, with a great stitch definition. Excellent for shawls.
LUNA / BFL – MASHAM
Spun in Yorkshire, the natural grey colour from the Masham yarn creates interesting marble results when dyed. The Bluefaced Leicester content makes it a soft, hard wearing, and with an excellent drape yarn.
SIMPLY HAPPY / MERINO
In 4 ply singles and also lace, this yarn takes natural dyes beautifully. The high twist on the ply makes it strong however I would not use it for hard wearing projects, such as socks. Ideal for intricate lace work and shawls.
APRIL / ALPACA – MERINO
Alpaca is one of the warmest fibres you can choose. It has relatively good memory but little elasticity which means garments knit in alpaca will have a lot more drape than 100% wool garments and will not spring back much after being stretched. However this blends contains as well Merino which brings along all the springiness and elasticity goodness, the best of both worlds.
INDULGENCE / CASHMERE – MERINO
With 20% Cashmere and 80% Merino, this yarn is like a cloud in your hands. Incredibly soft, with that added strength and elasticity from the merino, it makes it perfect for babies, adults and everyone in between who loves that gentle touch on the skin.
